This was John Lennon’s 29th birthday, but it was not a particularly happy one for him. The fetus that Yoko was carrying had survived the Scottish car accident and long stints in the studio during the recording of Abbey Road. But today Yoko was rushed to the hospital for an emergency blood transfusion, and she would miscarry four days hence.
Since there is nothing funny to be said about this, and electricity has suddenly become a rare and precious commodity here in California, let’s leave it there for now.
