Today’s entry on The Beatles Bible is headlined “John Lennon and Yoko Ono announce pregnancy,” which is pretty funny, as they were not both pregnant — although if there had been some way to do that, I’m sure they would have. I’m getting some mental images that are both amusing and horrifying, but I’ll keep them to myself.

Anyway, says TBB,

The baby was due in February 1969, according to the announcement. This would date the conception to May 1968, the month that their relationship began.

And it would have been kind of cool if they’d made a baby the first time they were together, the same night they made their first album. But alas it was not to be; Yoko miscarried in November, and they would not have a child until Sean came along in 1975.

Speaking of which, here in 2018 Sean just released a new song, a continuation of his collaboration with Les Claypool; that’s as good a way as any to end for the day.
