At some point during their time in Japan, the boys informed the record company that they had settled on a title for their new album. Revolver got the nod over such tantalizing alternatives as Beatles on Safari and Four Sides of the Eternal Triangle. I really like that last one, and I wonder: Had they chosen it, would we be living in a different, and better, world today? We’ll never know. “Revolver” is just fine, though, and the world as we know it is not half bad.
