The last entry would have been a perfectly logical place to end this blog, but there are still a few little things I’d like to talk about over the next few months. Posts will probably be somewhat sparse with the occasional burst of activity.

Today, says The Beatles Bible with enviable economy,

The penultimate studio session for the Abbey Road album was devoted to crossfades and edits in the long medley.

It was at this point that the segue between “You Never Give Me Your Money” and “Sun King” was finally completed to the band’s (meaning Paul’s) liking. There was also some work on “The End”: The recently recorded orchestral overdubs were edited in and the song was mixed.

Only one Abbey Road session remained, which we’ll get to at the appropriate time. Everything’s going just the way it’s supposed to. As I write this I am sitting in the airport in Hilo, and a Hawaiian version of “Here Comes the Sun” is playing. It’s all too perfect. Aloha, everybody.
