Today George Harrison flew from London to Bombay, which is not a thing you can do anymore. We call it Mumbai now, but while the cultural sensitivity is laudable, I personally still prefer Bombay. There is no such drink as “Mumbai Gin,” and there was no character on Bewitched called “Dr. Mumbai.”

Well, never mind — call it what you will, the important thing is that George went there, intending to do some recording for Wonderwall. He also ended up creating the backing track for the song that would become “The Inner Light.”

But first, I’ll bet, he rested. It’s a long flight and his arms must have been tired.
