Perusing Geoff Emerick’s Here, There and Everywhere just now, I learned that I have been mistaken in referring to the studio where The Beatles recorded as “Abbey Road.” Apparently it was known as “EMI Studios” until 1970, when it was renamed in honor of The Beatles’ last album.
I always thought the album was named after the studio, not vice versa, but I guess I was wrong. Consider the error regretted.
